Monster Brownies Dulcesol

Halloween is a scary night but also a very fun night: dDressing up, watching scary movies or even going out with friends is a perfect plan. However, we must not forget the most important part, the sweets, and what better than with a good dessert, snack or sweet? This Halloween we propose these irresistible monstrous brownies that will make this night even more special.

INGREDIENTS FOR DULCESOL MONSTER BROWNIES

  • For the mass: 
  • 2/3 cup (83 grams) all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 60 grams unsweetened dark chocolate (bar chocolate, not cocoa powder. I use one with at least 56% cocoa concentration)
  • 120 grams of dark chocolate (I use one with at least 70% cocoa concentration)
  • 140 grams (10 tablespoons) unsalted butter
  • 1 ¼ cups sugar
  • 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
  • 3 eggs
  •  
  • For the topping:
  • 100 grams of Topcao chocolate and hazelnut spread Dulcesol
  • Chocolate chips
  • sugar eyes
 

PREPARATION

Steps to make the monster brownies Dulcesol

  1. Preparing the oven: Place the oven rack in a lower-middle position and preheat the oven to 170°C.
  2. Dry mix: In a bowl, combine the flour, salt and baking powder with a wooden spoon. Set aside.
  3. mold preparation: Line a 24x24cm square mould with a strip of baking paper that extends over the edges to make it easier to remove the cake from the mould.
  4. Melt and mix: Melt the chocolate and butter in a bain-marie or in the microwave. Add the sugar and vanilla, mixing well. Add the eggs one by one, making sure each egg is well mixed before adding the next. The mixture should look shiny and silky.
  5. Add dry ingredients: Add the flour mixture and stir until everything is well combined.
  6. Baked: Pour the mixture into the prepared pan and bake for 35-40 minutes. The center should be firm and a toothpick inserted should come out with a few moist crumbs.
  7. Cool and cut: Let the brownie rest in the pan for 5 minutes. Then cut into squares or rectangles. For larger portions, cut into 8 rectangles; for smaller portions, into 16 squares.
  8. Decoration: Once cooled, decorate the brownies with Topcao Dulcesol and chocolate chips according to your taste.
